Dolphin’s Nose

Dolphin’s Nose is well over 1,550 Meter (5075 Feet) above sea level, 10 km from Coonoor and is a spectacular spot to visit. The rock shaped like a Dolphin’s nose with a steep U on the tip made the name clear. The view point is meant to enjoy the beauty of surrounding forests, hills and waterfalls.

The Dolphin’s nose gives you a 180 degree view of the scenery right in front of you with the inspiring ST Catherine Falls with its continuing stream in the middle of this greenery. In the other ravine, you can witness the confluence of Coonoor Stream and Kotagiri Stream.

On the way, beautiful views of plains, beautiful lush green tea gardens and steep rocky escarpments called rolling hills can be seen.
